We had a great showing last night at Chilis! Thanks to everyone for coming! Thanks to everyone (and Elena!) for Kevin's Birthday card- It was great! We were able to chat, eat, and get down to business. Main things I stressed and want to continue stressing:
Phone Banking- every Mon, Tues, and Wed 3-6 or 6-9. No need to call to sign up, just show up with your cell phones. You can come earlier in the day, but you have to call us first to be sure we're there! You don't have to stay for the whole shift, these are just the generic shift times the Obama Campaign wants us to use.
Canvassing in PA- every Sunday. We'll be meeting up at the Acme Parking lot in Big Elk Mall (rte 40 and rte 213). Tomorrow we're leaving at 12:30. We need people! So far we have no one signed up! Email me!
I passed around a sheet for everyone to put down their names if they would be interested in either phone banking or canvassing. For everyone who wasn't there, please email me and let me know which you want to help out with (both is great!).
T-Shirts: I will hopefully have some by Monday. Pins also. I hope!
People at home can help too: If you know someone who wants to help but can't really get out, or have difficult work hours- have them write letters to the editors of local and national newpapers and to TV Stations. The Whig is one paper that would DEFINITELY benefit from a few letters! Also- if they can get onto the Obama website they can do some phonebanking from the neighbor to neighbor tool. Let me know if you need help with this!
NEXT MEETING: Friday Sept 26th 7:00 pm @ HQ. We're also going to have a Debate Party. After the meeting you can stay and watch the debate and have snacks with us. Wine/beer is welcome also.
